Decisions are most difficult when......

Decisions are an inevitable process that every human (even animals) must make at any given point in time. It could be something simple as to stand or sit to the complex (starting over, new job, to fight or run). But have you ever thought about why it may takes us a long time to decide on an event or process?  Is it the fear of failure? Or the support we expect is not there? Or is it the unknown? Psychologists state that when we have d ifficulty making decisions can be a sign of  depression . Also when one is in the throes of despair, there may be a pessimistic view of reasonable options and an inability to act (Psychology Today, Carrie Barron MD). Whoa!  Simply, we hesitate because we somehow feel that things may not work out anyway so why bother. Some people like myself will take the time to do an exhaustive research, review all options, meditate and then decide.  Once a decision is reached it is executed, unless a another variable enters the picture and then we are back to the dr

Dr. MLK Day: His legacy to me

On January 15th, we celebrated a man that left an indelible mark on society, from the peaceful protests, to the photos with his wife and family, to his infamous "I have a dream speech", to the dreadful day of his death.  Some of us were blessed to have a day of rest, while others went to work as they normally do, performing their daily tasks to ensure a paycheck in a week or two. Have we ever once stopped to think how this man's life affected our individual lives?  Go beyond the Facebook/Instagram/Tumblr/Twitter posts. Or do you boil with anger every time you see them or some one speaks favorably about them and you want to challenge it? Those are questions just for starters. Well, I didn't post anything on social media, I didn't mention anythi

It's amazing how a person that is so very important to the existence of life is deemed almost as valuable as a piece of antique furniture in some cases. Every since the dawn of time, women have been the biggest supporters of the greatest minds we call geniuses. We have groomed doctors, engineers, astronauts, teachers, scientists, and the list goes on. Yet we are still fighting for equal rights, equal pay and our health! During my short life, I have noticed a lot of things that we may do, eat, wear near our precious bodies that are not necessarily good for us. We don't really investigate anything (don't have much time), so we more or less accept it for what it is. SO  I decided that I would start sharing some of the things that I have noticed and investigated myself, that could possibly change our view and we take better care of ourselves.  The Lord knows this world needs women badly, but it is up to us to do our part to stay alive. That's my say. Welcome to Th
